TEAS V at Wallace State

Published

Just wondering if anyone has taken the ADN TEAS V at Wallace yet. How were your scores? I've heard this version is harder than the older ones and I would like to get an idea of where everyone is ranking on the national level. Thanks!

I'm applying to transfer to WSCC & I'm very nervous about taking this test.

Good luck Cvrgul! The test wasn't nearly as awful as I thought it would be :) The science was tricky because there were some chem questions but other than that it was pretty basic stuff.

Good thread! ...especially since Wallace is one of the piloting schools, we can actually see where we all stand. I suprisingly did well, despite the fact that I thought I was failing the science section all the way through. The math section was pleasantly easy, reading was fine as well, and then you'd think I didn't grow up speaking English with my English score! Needless to say, I made a 77.3%.

I was told that I didn't need the Teas test after I paid for it because I will transfer from another nursing program into the second semester @ WSCC. This is what the secretary said, but I better call the director just to make sure!

Congrats Jade! I only know two other people who have taken it so far and both scored in the 50s. I scored 86.7% but I'm still really nervous about my fall app because I haven't taken micro yet. Hoping there will be fewer applicants since Wallace is one of the only schools requiring the TEAS as of yet. July can't get here fast enough lol.

I am scheduled to take TEAS on Monday. Having emergency surgery last week really screwed everything up.

Just to double check, it's on the 2nd floor of the Health Science Bldg, right?

I'm not attending Wallace however, I have taken the test before for Herzing and made a 61. The Science was "oh my goodness". So I decided to order the study manual from Barnes and Noble. When I started going through it, I noticed that it was JUST like the real test. I have to retake the test soon. I paid 34.00 for the study. I know someone who scored a 69 before they purchased the guide. After preparing for two weeks, she made a 84. You may or may not want to order the manual. It was only a suggestion...Good luck to all of you!

I didn't take it at Wallace State, but I did take it at Bevill a few weeks ago and I made an 81.3. It wasn't really that hard except for the Science section and that's what everyone else I've talked to has said also. The national average was a 64 I believe. Everyone I know that took it has made in the 60's or 70's. Hope this helps with your expectations...?;)

What score do you need to get into the program at Wallace? What score do you need for Bevill's program? 81 was really good! The science portion messed me up!.

I'm not sure. I was originally told if you get in the 80th percentile or higher you were accepted but now I'm being told it goes by a points system. You get so many points for what you made on the TEAS (for example, if you made an A you get 20 points, B is 10 points, etc...not sure on how many points just giving an example), you get points for how high your GPA is, points for your grades in pre-requisite classes, etc....they add all the points up and start accepting those with the highest number of points. They said in two weeks they will start sending out acceptance letters to those starting with the highest points until all slots are filled.

There are 251 pts available for the ADN, and 150 comes from TEAS scores, or so the application packet said. I made 77.3 on my TEAS, which is 115 pts toward my total points.
