  1. I'm in the dual option acute and primary PNP program HOPING with fingers crossed that I can be switched to FNP. I'll be attending June's orientation. I'm in the new 2nd degree program so I am taking a couple of bridge courses this semester to begin MSN courses in August. For anyone that has any input on their courses, if you had a choice to take advanced patho with leadership and management this summer or advanced patho with transition into the nursing practice this fall. Thanks!
  2. ...bump...
  3. I've never really thought about it-teaching that is, and I'm exploring all options...I too have a Master's (in Public Health). Once I graduate from my ADN program, could I then teach nursing students, or do I need an actual Master's in Nursing??
  4. Nope! I'm not too concerned either, it's my last choice.
  5. Thanks for letting us know! That was my plan, glad to know I don't have to now.
  6. this is awesome! can someone post nur 103's syllabus so I can see the textbooks I need?
  7. Got my acceptance letter...77.3 on TEAS, 2 As and 1 B...so what's that? a 207 I guess?
  8. Ok guys, I'm at work everyday 8-5, therefore no direct access to my mailbox. If you all would please post on here if you've received a letter or not, that way I can anticipate news on the ride home! :)

  10. Why is the program a joke? I applied there, along with Wallace and Jeff State. Are you saying that if I don't get accepted into either of those, I shouldn't even think about Lawson??
  11. How about the program in Hanceville? Anyone received their letter yet?
  12. A week from Monday?!? I hate waiting!!
  13. Yep, I'm in the same boat! Bachelor's in Biomedical Sciences, Master's in Public Health. I have just applied to various community colleges in my area--much cheaper since I already have tons of school loans, I may even consider checking into the VA thing. You could also try the Armed Forces?? Colleges around here have full-time day and part-time evening programs, that may be something you could look into in your area. Also, I think the ADN program is the way to go! If after you get out there and see the need for the BSN, you can do the mobility track. Sorry for the rambling, good luck!!!
  14. Good thread! ...especially since Wallace is one of the piloting schools, we can actually see where we all stand. I suprisingly did well, despite the fact that I thought I was failing the science section all the way through. The math section was pleasantly easy, reading was fine as well, and then you'd think I didn't grow up speaking English with my English score! Needless to say, I made a 77.3%.
