Yea!!! I got accepted into the LPN program!...now I have to get started on the uniforms and shots.

I applied to Bessemer and Birmingham campus...I applied to the RN and LPN program.

Well, I was not accepted to either program b/c the school had 2003 as the year for me taking the compass test when I actually took it in 2008..I had to prove that I took it in 2008 which took 30 min...My points were 155 and I think the cut off was 165. I was told that I would be put on the waiting list as of 8/2/10. I had not heard anything yet. I was also told that additional letters were going to made to offer students on the waiting list a spot. Basically it's all about competition b/c now I have to wait to see if I can beat out others on the waiting list. I just hope I hear great news about this situation real soon. I heard the immunizations, uniforms, and etc are pretty pricey....Wish me luck!

What score do you need to get into the program at Wallace? What score do you need for Bevill's program? 81 was really good! The science portion messed me up!.

I'm not attending Wallace however, I have taken the test before for Herzing and made a 61. The Science was "oh my goodness". So I decided to order the study manual from Barnes and Noble. When I started going through it, I noticed that it was JUST like the real test. I have to retake the test soon. I paid 34.00 for the study. I know someone who scored a 69 before they purchased the guide. After preparing for two weeks, she made a 84. You may or may not want to order the manual. It was only a suggestion...Good luck to all of you!

I went up to Herzing today and received info since I tried to get in the program last year around this time however, the TEAS test was not on my side at the time. i just finished Micro and A&P II at Lawson. I'm not in the mood to sit around my mailbox all Summer waiting on info from Lawson that's why I'm inquiring about Herzing. I missed the TEAS by 4 points. I need to prepare for the test. I am determined. If it's worth having, it's worth fighting for ( or studying hard for)!

@vharris Got my letter and I'm not in either. It's cool though. I'm just going to take Micro and Anatomy II and perhaps transfer out to UAB or Bevill. I've had my share of Lawson. At least I did make it into Bevill's program before. But I had moved and the letter wasn't forwarded in time. Best wishes to you. After Spring 2010, it's over for me @ Lawson!

I went to UAB back in 1999-2000. I just called the secretary but another lady answered the phone AND SHE SAID the letters were mailed on Thursday and we should here something by today or tomorrow. But on Friday, the secretary told me that they were working on them. These people need to really get it together.

Vharris, Have you heard anything yet? I called and the secretary stated that all the letters have been mailed and we should hear something either way. Keep me posted and let me know when you hear something!

I checked the student suite and my advisor hasn't changed..So it looks like I'm not in..Guess I will complete Anatomy II and Math 100 @ Lawson before transferring to UAB. I wish I would've went back there before now..Best wishes to you though.

That's true...I was reading threads that were posted earlier this year and Lawson wasn't on time notifying people of things then either. It just doesn't make sense. That's why a lot of people switched schools..I should've applied other places too. i just may do that in the approaching year. I can't sit around waiting on one school. I talked to one other person and she was told that she was 1.5pts away from getting in the LPN program. I am just lost for words right now.:stone

Hi, I think we are going to receive letters even if we don't get in. I had a classmate that received a letter this fall telling that she didn't get in the program, but she was accepted at Wallace. Even if we don't get in by points we still may get a phone call because everyone may not accept their seat. When I called on Friday the secretary was still working on some of them so maybe they don't send them out all at once.
