All I can say is ... RUN! Lawson's program is so pitiful! I started there & transferred. The staff is so unprofessional! You do NOT get your $$ worth of education out of them. I would advise all of you to apply to other schools!

Nursefarmgirl..I would love to get in the evening program! Where & when do you do your clinical? I was told that there's an option for Saturday clinicals! Do you know where Saturday clinical for Nur 105 was held at? And what class are you currently in? Also, in the evening program are they straight by the book & class notes? I'm asking because the last program I was in I always had of feeling of being tricked. I use to look at the test & be like we didn't cover this. Please explain & share much info as possible. Thanks!

I'm applying as a transfer student. I'm trying to get more information about the program. If I get in I will be driving an hour both ways. So if you have any more info, please share it!

When I say joke..I mean the entire program needs to be restructured! From the dean to the secretary! I will say that there are a FEW good instructors but not many. I think I learned more from the clinical instructors than the classroom instructors! I have heard that Wallace is a great school & I was accepted there as well. I just wish I would have made that my first choice!

Word to the wise...Lawson nursing program is a JOKE. I heard this from many people but decided to give them the benefit-of-the-doubt & found out the hard way! I wish I would've listen! I'm not trying to influence anyone in any way!

I wouldn't recommend anyone to attend LSCC nursing program. It is a joke! I heard of all of the bad things about LSCC nursing program & gave them the benefit if the doubt! However, I attended this program & must say that everyone is not telling the same lie about this program. It's so unprofessional. You may have 1 or 2 good instructors but the majority of them are pitiful, jealous-hearted, & pure evil. You would actually think you were in high school dealing with some mean girls drama. They single students out who's opinions differ or have a problem or shall I say not afraid to stand up for what's right or even if they just don't like you. If you ask questions, they give smart remarks. I'm not pushing LSCC under the bus but I regret I wasted my time there. I'm just speaking from my personal experience @ LSCC nursing school.

I was told that I didn't need the Teas test after I paid for it because I will transfer from another nursing program into the second semester @ WSCC. This is what the secretary said, but I better call the director just to make sure!

Justshe this is cvrgul and I chose to go to Lawson instead of Wallace. Can you tell me how the program is going so far and if it is a self taught program like lawson. How are the instuctor? Also, can you tell me what are thw chances of me transferring into Nur 105 for the summer. How many students did your class lose the fiest semestee and how it's looking. this semester? Thanks G

Jace24, where did you get your information? According to the NLNAC( whom Lawson is accredited by) they are still accredited!

I agree with MsLee! People are so negative because for one, they are unhappy with themselves..in which, tends to rub off! I feel that we are responsible for our own destination! That's why it's important to seek info from reliable sources instead of engaging, believing, & running with such Gossip! I'm sure if you were to call LSCC nursing department, they would be more than happy to tell you all that you would love to know about it's nursing program. Don't let gossip determine your fate! Remember that!! However, accreditation was a subject touched on in orientation & the rumors as well. Lawson has not lost their acceditation! They also advised us as nursing students not to engage in such filthy rumors!
