TEAS V Score

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hey!

I was wondering how hard is it to get at least a 64% on the TEAs V? I been studying the TEAs V book and looking at some websites others have suggested. Prior to studying, I took the practice TEAs V exam form A, and didn't do well. I'm getting really nervous. =(

I don't take it until November but I have heard that you only need the ATI study guide and that's it.

I heard its really easy if your book smart. If you didn't do well or learn anything in your pre reqs, that's not a good sign again that's what I have heard

It's not easy. At the same time it's not hard. Take your time and go through the manual and you will score what you need. Make sure you are sharp in the math, reading and english sections as those will help you from falling below the 64.

thank you manstat! i'm currently studying the science part, and was getting nervous about failing!

The science stuff can be a little obscure. It is wise to study that thoroughly. Know the other stuff...but math is math, reading comprehension is just that. The Science has stuff about Pundentt Square, meiosis, mitosis, gen chem stuff. It's not real hard, but your brain will hurt when it is over.

It's not hard at all if you have studied any. I just took it yesterday and made 68%. I would have made higher if I had actually studied for the version 5. Instead I was told by the school that the version they used was 4 so that is the book I bought and studied. There were several things on 5 that I hadn't studied. I called the school and they didn't seem to care that I had been told the wrong version. Not sure if I will retake it or not. Good luck to anyone taking the test.

i scored a 79.3 overall, and high 80's in all sections except english where i scored a 66.

I really focused on the science part, my test had a lot of chem style questions. I used the study guide and online science websites aimed at kids!!! sounds silly but those sites really help to refresh in a simplistic way.

I just took mine this morning, and scored a 80.0% overall...I was soooooo excited and relieved. It has been 20+ years since I have been in school, and haven't taken any pre-reqs, so no chemistry or A&P. I did score a 60.4% in Science, but got 90.5% in Reading, 83.3% in Math, and 83.3% in English....this really helped pull my average score up. Sience is not my thing, and reading through that ATI study guide felt like I was reading gibberish, so I really concentrated on bringing my math skills up, and I did spend almost the whole day yesterday reviewing the science section, and especially the practice tests. Just really review, and you will do great! I was so nervous this morning I felt like I was going to pass out!

I did get an email from someone on here asking me info on the TEAS V, but I am not allowed to send messages yet, so I don't want them thinking I am avoiding them, but I cannot reply....sorry!

The science section actually surprised me. I bought the study manual & what was covered there, was nothing like what was on the test. I'm not sure what the study guide is like on-line. The TEAS test I took weighed a lot on chemistry. So if you have any of your old chem notes, or books, I'd brush up on those. My scores were like lollila's, in that I didn't fare so well in science, but my math & english scores brought my total score up substantially. Good Luck!!!
