TEAS V at LACounty Allied College of Nursing

Published

Did anyone here just took the TEAS V this past weekend at LA County College of Nursing? What were your thoughts about the test?

It was my first time taking the TEAS V test. Despite of my hardwork studying for the test, I still got a little nervous. I thought that the time for each test was a little short. I studied so hard, but I'm just so worried about it. I applied for Spring 2014 at LA County Allied College of Nursing. Hoping to get a good grade for the TEAS V at 70-80. For sure I didn't make it to 90's :grumpy:.

I feel that I am ready to start the journey of being a student nurse, but I am worried about my TEAS V score.

Anyone here feels the same way? just took the TEAS V test? current student? just graduated? Anyone? I'm just a little bit down right now because of the test. I don't want to think about it as much as possible, but I can't help it!

I actually went to their info session back in August. One of the counselors just goes over the basic requirements for the nursing program and they give you an appointment date to meet with the counselor one on one. I was actually going to apply for trade tech... I wonder if its too late to apply for that school...

Yeah. Spring 2014 is close already. Maybe next sem? Who knows...its first come first serve basis!

I also applied for Spring 2014 and took the TEAS V last weekend at the school. It was also my first time taking the test. Just got the results . . . pretty happy since I scored high enough to get the full 20 points. Now, it's just waiting to know if I'm selected. I hate that we have to wait so long to find out if we made it into the school.

Those of you that applied to LA County for Spring 2014, did you get in? I applied for Fall 2014 and confirmed they received app and transcripts....Just waiting now...studying for the TEAS. If you did get in and wish to share, can you please let me know how many points you had after TEAS test?

Hi I got a c in anat and physio and a b in micro. Is this not good enough to apply to the la rn program?

Hi Givinglove!

LA County uses a point system you can find on their website. You can add up all of your points. Regardless, you should always apply regardless. You never know what everyone else applying for the same period has and what the cut off would be until all applicatnts have applied and taken the teas test. Apply where ever you wish and see ehat happens! Its not gonna hurt!
