84.7% on TEAS. Think I can make it to CSULB nursing program?

Hello everyone,

I'm applying for the CSULB Spring 2011 program and contemplating on whether or not I should retake the test. I got 80s and 90s on all the sections except science :(. I got a 66.7 there. Should I retake it or am I good to go? I am planning on applying for the next TEAS exam on Aug 12, which leads to my next question. I am aware that CSULB doesn't really care how many times you take the test, but is there some rule about how frequently it can be taken (for example, once per semester)? I couldn't find any info on that on their website and it's a little late to call them now.

Also, CSULB says that they look at the overall TEAS grade. Does this mean that they will only look at and care for that 84.7%? Or will they scrutinize each individual section and check my scores on them, and then take the overall score into account. I'm proud of all my section scores except science.

My science GPA is 3.0 and GE GPA 3.5. It's a little low, I know, but I hope it's enough to make it in.

What do you guys and gals think?

wow!!! i did my point calculations and i got a low score...8.367. Do you honestly think they would even consider me. plus im a transfer student. i feel like giving up serisously. every time i thik im going to have a good shot of getting in i hear others are way higher. im applying for spring 2012. and this is my second time applying i tried for fall 2011 with in progress classes and yea you know the story.

What exactly are your stats?

Math teas is 91.1% overall teas is 83.5 %. 3.0 on my science prereq and 3.75 on my GE. according to last spring stats I would have gotten in but they only accepted LB students. Are transfers less likely. I am soo scared.

Only a few transfers were accepted last semester. Due to budget cuts and CSULB being given priority, it's harder for transfers to get in. All you can realistically do now is retake the TEAS. Apply to other schools and good luck!
