I also used the Mometrix study guide and used quizlet for the science section. There's also a couple of free TEAS practice tests online such as Union Test Prep (Free Test Prep for the TEAS) & Teas Practice Test (TEAS Practice Test | Free ATI TEAS Practice Questions). I'm sure there are other free practice tests available online. Good luck!
@ocean43 - I took the SmartPrep pre-assessment exam, then read through almost all of Mometrix, thentook the post-assessment exam. Then I started reviewing Smart Prep materials based on the post-assessment exam. I then took the 1st practice test, then did remediation/reviewed based on feedback from the 1st practice test. Then I took the second practice test, and again did remediation on what I missed. For me I think the SmartPrep practice tests were much harder for the science and math portions than on the real TEAS test. I found the English and Reading sections harder on the TEAS. I scored a 94.7% on the TEAS last month if that helps. I did all this three weeks before I took the TEAS. Expensive but worth it? YMMV. I had a solid background in anatomy, physiology, and microbiology which helped me through the science portions.
The benefit of the SmartPrep is that is assesses your weak areas and tells you what to go back and read. Also if you miss a test question in the system, it will give the rationale behind each multiple choice answer.
