Teas Test Skills Tips Please

Published

HI, I am really nervous about the Teas Test. Can you share what will you do different? I am not good in Math. How is the structure in the sciences. I am also nervous about that. If you have done the Teas in 2009, any tips are welcome. Wish me luck ! I will be doing the test on Dec 17th 2009.

i need it also!

im trying to get my post up so that i can PM you

I need help with the Teas Read and English sections. I am not sure how else to study. Can any one give me any guidelines please?

Could you give me any specific tips with the English. My Maths was very good as well as Science but I sucked with the English and reading. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ditto everything ASBN said. I took it today and really thought that the Kaplan review book practice exams were harder than the actual test. For instance, the reading portions in the practice tests were soooooooo much longer than the actual reading portions on the TEAS. And I am talking about the multi-paragraph readings, not the actual number of questions for the reading section. Does that make sense?

My school really looks at reading and English from what I can gather, so I really didn't waste too much time on the math and science and still got an 84% and 80% respectively.

Know your conversions for the math, also decimals and fractions were big. The science is really hit or miss - you either know what an igneious rock is and what atomic mass is or you don't.

GL! And don't worry!!

Today i just went and got my McGraw-Hills Nursing School Entrance Exams book from Barnes and Noble

If you can get the McGraw Hill nursing entrance book, go ahead and study the english language section and do the practice test. It explains in detail the different sections such as grammar, punctuation, spelling and sentence structure, etc. You should also use the Teas study guide. I would say practice, practice, practice and then take the teas online exam.
