TEAS score for JJC

U.S.A. Illinois

What is the average TEAS score that you need to get in order to be accepted into JJC's R.N. program?

What is the lowest anyone has received but has still been accepted into the program?

I will be taking the exam soon, and am worried since I have not had a math class in 7yrs.

i wish people would understand that we have no idea what jjc is. i guess it's some junior college, eh?

i would think that the people who would have the answer to that would be at jjc its own self. call and ask them.

sorry its Joliet Junior College in Joliet, IL

bump it up

I took the TEAS 3 times - they use your highest score. I was accepted with a 93 in Reading and 88 in composition. Those are the scores they look at.

On their website it says they look at the reading and overall TEAS score. Should I be more concerned on reading and study that more, or focus on all the subjects equally?

Well on my Nursing transcript, those are the only two scores that appear . My highest overall adjusted score was only 82.3 so I would definitely concentrate on the reading and composition :)

For the group starting in August (thus applied last Feb.), the average composite score for admission was 80%. I think the average for reading was 88%. I don't know what the lowest scores accepted were, but two people I know didn't get in even though their composites were around the average; in both cases their reading scores were low (though I have no clue about their prereqs/GPA). Since JJC does weight the reading score higher than the composite, I would make sure to spend time preparing for that section. I don't remember the exact breakdown of points they give each, but I think it was something like 55%/45% of the points possible for TEAS. If you go to an info session or call the Nursing department, I'm sure they could give you more exact information. Good luck!

I got in with an 84 composite and an 88 in reading. There averages change with every semester, since there are different people taking it. I do know that they look at the TEAS reading score, TEAS composite score, GPA on nursing prerequisites, and completion of nursing prerequisites. Good luck!
