Anyone from the San Jose area and would like to set up a study group? Also, if anyone has taken version 4.0 and remember any tricky questions or any questions at all, please share. It would be greatly appreciated.
I just took version 4 on Saturday. My advice is to work on physics. There were more physics questions than metric conversions.
I'm taking it on that day. I'm driving down from Sacramento because all the Sacramento sites will already filled by the time I signed up.
I called Samuel Merritt, and the admissions rep said they are using Teas version 4 (the old version, not the new one).
Over last Xmas break, I went thru the study manual one time already. I plan to go over it again, plus take the online assessment on the Teas site.
@greatpyr_mom- look into Unitek college in Sacramento. I took it there and it only cost $40, granted you have to pay $20 to send it to SMU, but the convienence factor was major for me with a little one.
Make sure you know:
farenheit to celcius conversion
lb to KG
Rock Formations (sedimentary)
independent variables
plate boundaries
RBC
Protons/Neutrons, Atomic Number & Mass
Prokaryotic, Eukaroytic cells
Clouds
Grammar and punctuation (my worst scored)
I got an 84.1% overall (90th percentile)
Good luck...
I just took my teas test last week at SMU in Sacramento. I passed! Yay! It was version 4. I just stuck to the teas study booklet version 3 and 4 and it really helped a lot, and I also bought the teas practice test online. The actual teas test is easier than both the study booklet practice test and the teas practice test online. You guys will do fine. Manage your time well because they don't let you go back on answers in different sections, even if you have completed a section quickly and have extra time. Relax.

Just wondering if anyone will be taking the TEAS at Samuel Merritt University on June 24th, 2010?
