Teacher said "...."

i ask my teacher that i needed help and the instructor said. "sorry, i can't. i don't make enough money to help you." what is that even mean?

Maybe it means that, someone who never even learned to capitalize sentences is beyond his/her abilities to remediate? ;)

Hmm - OP didn't provide enough information to narrow it down to a specific approach, but here are some options

1- Was this a sarcastic response that fell flat? When you're stressed, it's very easy to misunderstand this type of thing

2- What type of "teacher" was this? Is s/she an overworked (and seriously underpaid) adjunct who was hired to do only specific tasks? This is frequently the case with clinical instructors. Their "job" is to guide you through a clinical practicum & make sure you don't hurt any patients (sarcasm again). Theoretical teaching is usually not within their scope of responsibility.

3- Having a bad day. Maybe you just had the misfortune to encounter that instructor when s/he was in the middle of a completely yukky day. Everyone has them.

Agree with pp, but also what kind of help are you looking for? That seems to be a fairly rude answer if you were asking for 5 minutes of time. However, if you were asking for an extra hour of one-on-one from your instructor every week, then I think the response, while not worded in the nicest way, is more understandable. Does your school offer tutoring? Is there a study group you could join? Those might be better options.

I also know that all of my instructors (theory included) also work as full time RNs. If this is the case for your instructor, it could be that she simply doesn't have the time. She doesn't make enough money to quit her RN job and devote all her time to students...
