TCU CRNA program for January 2017

Published

Hello all,

I am working on submitting my application for the 2017 CRNA program at TCU. Feel free to post questions, words of encouragement, and any advice you may have as we start this journey. Looking forward to meeting you all!

I know! I'm kicking myself for not completing things sooner, but man these past few months have creeped up on me. I'm wondering if anyone who has submitted applications already has heard anything about interviews.

Don't fret, I'm sure your still good at this point! I understand what you mean though, this last semester of my BSN was crazy busy. It feels good to just be able to relax for a short while. Looking back as previous forums it looks like you don't really hear anything about interviews until the end of July. If you are selected for an interview they then have you complete an online assessment test. It sounds like a personality type test and another portion that is similar to brain games, I'm sure to test critical thinking skills.

Alright y'all, I feel invested in your futures now. Haha. Let us know how everything is going.

Longhornccrn, is the "longhorn" part of your username a reference to UT? And if so, is that where you went for undergrad?

Duke- yes, I went there for undergrad! Are you a fellow longhorn? And are you applying for TCU as well?

I am! I graduated in 2014. For the longest time, I planned on applying to TCU. But I live in NC right now and just decided to stay here for graduate school.

Hey there Duke, are you currently in a program in NC? I looked into the program at Duke, it was very impressive but also very far from home for me!

I start at Duke in August. 😉

I also applied for the 2017 class, I'm so anxious to hear from the program!

Good luck NurseYepie! I'm trying to stay busy until the end of July so time passes quicker haha! I can't wait to hear something. According to the forum posted last year everyone started hearing about interviews around the 29th of July.

Called TCU today to make sure everything they needed got in, and my file is complete! Now the waiting game, which is definitely the WORST. Where's everyone from and what's your background??

Oh my goodness, end of July is so long to wait! For some reason I was under the impression that interviews were given as applications were submitted, not after the deadline...

I'm from Texas and work in a CVICU x4 years with postop hearts, ECMO and LVAD experience, only nursing experience besides nurse aide/tech while in school.
