You're on top of things! Hopefully I'll have mine in the next couple of weeks. Can't wait for interviews to come around.

You've got plenty of time!!

Any body know how much money they are going to try and borrow? I'm talking with my wife about money for living expenses or if we want to do just do tuition.

Thoughts??

We've been debating a similar thought. My tuition will be covered, but I'm not sure about living expenses. My fiancé will continue working but we're used to two incomes. It would be interesting to hear from current students on how they managed!

That's our situation as well. I'm just not sure how much is too much you know? The tuition for TCU is 85k without taking any living expenses into consideration. My wife will continue working but I'm thinking a little extra for things that come up each month would be ok

Thoughts??

Ok so I did a little research and contacted a former coworker who is currently in TCUs DNP-A program. She said its very typical to borrow more than just tuition.

My wife and I are planning on a little more than tuition but will not be borrowing cost of attendance due to her working full time.

Good to know! I'm curious as to how it works with clinical sites, since obviously there will be different costs at different places.

It's my understanding that you'll know about clinical assignments with enough time to make financial plans accordingly. Will you requesting to stay in Fort Worth area? I ranked DFW as my top pick but said I'd go anywhere that was available.

Same here. I put my hometown as my second choice, kinda cool how that worked out. But I also said that I'll go anywhere.

I'm an SRNA at TCU. If you are accepted in the program, they will notify you of your clinical assignment in the acceptance letter. With that being said, a coworker of mine had his clinical assignment changed a few months prior to the start of his clinical residency.

That makes me a little nervous, but good to know. If I'm lucky enough to be accepted, I suppose I'll make a point to not do any major planning until clinical time is close.
