Hello everyone!!! I know, a little early. I just can't wait for application period to come around. Currently taking a Chemistry course to boost my GPA some. Looking to hear from other future applicants. Go FROGS!
For those who are interviewing today, feel free to let those of us interviewing later how it went! The odds are ever in your favor…but really. Im trying to do a little preparation while staying calm. I fly down to Texas tomorrow for my interview Thursday. I am excited to check out the TCU campus since I've never seen it! Good luck to everyone!
It actually went a lot better than i had expected. It was like mace8704 had mentioned in previous posts. It's a structured interview that was timed and every person got the same question. They even gave you time at the end to ask questions. I was definitely stressed before and during the interview because I had no idea what they were gong to ask. Overall, compared to other places I have interviewed, this one was so much easier. Everyone was so nice and they even had RRNAs there that you could chat with before and after the interview. They also gave us a tour of the building. I don't think I can wait till Oct. 15th lol.
I can't say I felt the same way gassy2be. Maybe it's because I haven't interviewed anywhere else. Although they didn't quiz you about clinical knowledge, they definitely asked questions about how you handle clinical situations. My nerves were through the roof so I honestly don't know how I did. Oh well, all I can do now is trust in myself and hope they liked me and could see my dedication. I just wish they would've asked a little more ABOUT ME. It just seemed like they were almost too structured bc there were no ice breaker questions or anything like that they just jumped right into it. Anyways, good luck to everyone who hasn't gone yet! I wish the best to everyone. We should know by oct 1 I think...the 15th at the latest! Ahh!

Yea that makes sense but I wouldn't be surprised if they ask clinical questions like how is dopamine & dobutamine different, what is SVR and how do you calculate it, or even stuff like how is a Swanz inserted even though I don't work with Swanz. Wouldn't it be great if it was simple clinical items like interpret the ABG and even how to treat it :)
