TCU Accelerated BSN 2010

Published

Hey! I applied in November for the May 2010 TCU ABT program...Is there anyone else out there? Does anyone have a clue when we'll find anything out?

Thanks Mspitzer and txhorns! Great information. I am a very fast paced person. I have heard that with the accelerated programs it is fast and furious! I am glad to hear you both like TCU. I appreciate your feedback. Its nice to hear great things about a school from someone who has first hand experience!

Good luck!

So far this is the first post I can find about applying for the TCU Accelerated BSN track, 2011!! I'm excited to say I'm applying too! Taking Micro at the moment and it's my very last prerequisite. Would love to hear from anybody else who is applying and maybe we can cross our fingers together!

Does anybody know anything about the schedule of dates for the program? I can't find anything on TCU's website, and from what I remember from the info session I went to (last fall), they said the date is contingent upon people finishing up their spring courses. For example, Tarrant County College won't finish spring finals until May 12th/13th, so the following monday the 16th would likely be the first possible date to begin the TCU courses. Do they usually start this early or has it typically started more toward the end of May? Anyone with more info on this would really be helping me out!! Thanks in advance.

I have also applied to TCU's accelerated program to start May of 2011. I just know they start in May, but we will soon find out if we get it. I am just ready to find out. Hopefully it will be very soon! Good luck to you!

You will have a two week class that will start the Monday after TCC finishes...or at least that's what we did this past year :) After that, you'll be following TCU's Academic Calendar. This will of course all be discussed in your admission packet and at orientation. Sorry, just realized you posted this a long time ago. The program's kept me a little busy! Good luck!

Thank you for the info! Still waiting for the mail to see if I got in! So nervous! :heartbeat

Me too!

Any idea when they will send out acceptance (rejection) letters?!

:nurse:

They were supposed to send them out mid February. That is what they said when I talked to them at the end of January, but I think there are delays because they were closed due to weather a few weeks ago. Hopefully we will find out this week.

I got into TCU's accelerated program! :nurse::hpygrp:

What r ur stats if u dnt mind me asking? I applied for fall 2011o

Nurse2be- Remember, they really look at your essay you wrote and also your science grades. I had all A's in every science class. My prerequisite GPA was a 3.56 and HESI composite score was a 90 or around that. It has been 4 months since I have looked that up. Good luck! You should find out about the Nursing school for fall mid April! I know how nervous you are, believe me!

Congrats, I really hope I get in. But I dnt know my stats r not as good as urs. Overall GPA 3.1 science GPA 3.0 although I have read on past post that people will low GPA have made it.

Don't be discouraged! People have gotten in with lower GPA's. My overall was not that great, but I graduated from college 8 years ago and have really improved by making a 4.0 since I have been back in school. My overall is low because of my past. Obviously, they looked at what mattered (the prerequisites for Nursing, which was my 3.56) for their program. I had really high grades where it mattered.
