Hello everyone! I have submitted my application for TCU's Accelerated BSN program. I am getting ready to take the HESI A2 next week and my file will be 100% complete. I have been checking allnurses.com frequently to see if there are any other TCU 2012 hopefuls, but haven't come across anyone yet! Are you out there?? If so, lets start talking!! :)
A little about me...I have been working as a medical sales representative for close to 10 years. I have worked in pharma, device, disposables, biotech, services, and specialty pharmacy. Throughout the years, my love for the medical industry has only increased until one day I decided to take the plunge and start my pre-requisites. Now with them completed, I am looking into TCU (first choice), El Centro (2nd choice, only have one additional pre-req to take) and UTA (still have 6, yes, 6 pre-requisites to take and doubtful I will be able to apply by for the Fall 2012 start class, perhaps the spring 2013). I live in Lantana (outside of Flower Mound) so I will be commuting each day to the school I get accepted to (fingers crossed).
Hey all! I hope everyones week has started out well. I decided to make another facebook page for our group since we were all having a hard time finding the other one. I am applying for may 2013 accelerated and I'm having a hard time finding the stats on number of applicants vs number accepted into the program. Any one know??
I just looked at an email from last October that from an office member in the nursing school. She said that last year ( so it would be for the 2011 class) 150 people applied, 67 were accepted and 56 matriculated. She said they also have wait lists to pull from each year. I hope that helps!
My stats class was a C. I wouldn't worry about it. I asked the head of the department about it and she said to not worry about it because my gpa was still 3.74 with it being a C.
I have a's in my other sciences just that darn c in stats (hated it!!) I asked *******' opinion of retaking it and she said "it wouldn't hurt, it's up to you". Hmm
That is the same person I asked. I hated stats as well and made a 79 in it the first time. I just didn't want to take it again. My other sciences were A's as well as my other pre requisite courses. If you have the time, then I guess why not if you are worried. At a junior college it would only cost about $300 - $400 to take it.
I don't think we started off with 56, though. I think it was more like 52........
