After getting a "D" on my first and last nursing theory exam, I am nervous to reschedule in fear of failing again.
Has anyone used these College Network Exam books that are on ebay? I heard that it narrows down what you need to know.
Any suggestions from anyone??
thanks,
jan

I used the college network modules for all my exams. They were useful because they give you quizzes at the end of all the chapters. But what helped me the most was using Saunder NCLX-RN review book and reading the med surg book on the chapters that are covered in LS3. Good luck to you!

Hey Jan. I am taking LS3 next week. Was LS3 your first EC test? How did you prepare for the test? I have no experience with TCN. I make note cards from the Smeltzer & Pediatric required readings, review with Saunder's and do the practice exams. Good luck!
No. It was my last exam. UGH
thanks. I have a Saunders, and I am re reading my Smeltzer.

Oh darn it! What areas were you weakest in? There are some journal arcticles that are excellent at the EC Library that are specific for LS3. They are well written, easily understandable. I did a few for Neuro, MS, etc. Have you checked out flashcardexchange.com? There is a set there of like 291 cards. I don't print them off, I just go through them online.
I print the flash cards and bring them to work with me. I got a 68 and 76 on the practice exams, and I didnt have a huge area I was weak in. I got a 70 on the neuro, and in the 60's on the others. I don't know what happened.

I used Chancellors study guide as a review. I used my med surg book from LPN school, Chancellors , and Saunders for questions. Instead of memorizing, I mainly focused on knowing to differentiate the diseases,An ex is myasthenia Gravis is deficient in acetycholine while Parkinsons is deficient in dopamine. Then, i would go over what I as a nurse need to look for and do for that pt. To me its easier to understand the material then I'm able to apply it. LS 2 seemed much harder to me but I am not an endocrine fan ether.
IN LS3 I got a 65 on test A,and an 80 on test B.Which by the way was the highest score I ever got in the nursing tests
