TCC Spring 2016 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for those who are planning to apply to TCC this summer for Spring 2016. I will be applying with one A and two B's. I'm getting ready for my HESI test and I hope to get a good score. For those who have applied before, has anyone ever been accepted with one A.? I'm hopeful and also nervous. So let's get the ball rolling, and help encourage each other.

Jenny do you mind texting me or emailing me.. I have some questions 817 874 0488

Hello fellow hopefuls; )

Does anyone know the dates for when the program starts and finshes? Also when do clinicals start?

It looks like spring semester starts on January 19th. I don't think there's any way to know the date of the end of it at this point. I have no idea the date of clinicals starting either, but I THINK spring class generally starts in March. Not 100% on that though.

Thanks so much you're the best. Would a guess be we would graduate May of 2017?

Tryhard4success- did you apply for the EMT/LVN to RN bridge or just the RN program?

For RN program we would graduate December 2017 and start our Residency programs by late Feb. I'm not certain but I think the EMT/LVN bridge would finish in May because their program is shorter.

@Jenny- I applied for full length RN not bridge.

Dec 17 seems like forever lol. Thought it was four semesters? There is a break?

Thanks btw;)

Yep, four semesters and a summer semester. Spring 2016, Summer 2016, Fall 2016, Spring 2017, Fall 2017. It does seem far away, but even applying seemed far away when I started my prereqs lol. Time will fly.

@wildearth- oooo... so technically it's five semesters. Gotcha. Yea didn't know that. I really don't know much about the program. I didn't want to learn too much about it in case I wasn't accepted. If I get an acceptance email I'll do quite a bit of research. Is it just me or is this waiting period forever? Lol come on with the emails lol

This waiting is definitely some of the longest days of my life for sure. But only roughly 10 more days. I just need to focus on my studies haha.

@Ali- I went through this waiting for paramedic school and when you get the "you're in" it's like the wait never even mattered. I wish you the best luck in getting in and success in the program!!!! I haven't been able to accept we don't get emails on the 15th yet lol. I'm trying to be optimistic that we could get word then. Denial much? Hahaha. However I did hear that fall 14 found out right on the 15th so that's hopeful;)

@tryhard

Can I ask why you didn't apply for the bridge since your a paramedic and the bridge is only a year?

@ERiding- licensure issues. I'm a recent transplant from the North. Real bummer but I stay positive and just take the program as a refresher with a great ending:)
