I hope it's not too early to start a thread for those who are planning to apply to TCC this summer for Spring 2016. I will be applying with one A and two B's. I'm getting ready for my HESI test and I hope to get a good score. For those who have applied before, has anyone ever been accepted with one A.? I'm hopeful and also nervous. So let's get the ball rolling, and help encourage each other.

Gotcha. Yea I can imagine so so so many people probably call and email so I won't be doing that:( however if this application period wasn't as many people as usual then I would think we would get word back sooner rather than later. At least I'm telling myself that lol

I agree. I'm sure people have called and bugged them but if I don't hear by the 23 then I will call and ask just to check and see. I would expect it to be to more of they didn't have as many to look through but I also heard that they didn't start to look through them until after the deadline.

Last year we were notified on the 23rd so hopefully it won't be later than that.

@ERiding- these days are going by so slow. I think once the 15th passes I'm going to get very very antsy lol. I assume you will probably post something If you contact Katherine about the date change? I would so appreciate that;) Did they ever say why they went over apps late? And were they going over our apps late too?

If I call I will post any info I hear!!!! No worries there. Lol. Someone on here said that they hadn't picked up the applications when they turned their app in on the last day. Im not sure why they waited. I'm antsy to know but not too much cause I'm not very confident with my grades and don't really want to see a no again. Lol. Hopefully this is my year though!!!! :) if not I am retaking my B for an A so that will help my GPA. I'm hoping that tomorrow is the day but not going to be disappointed if it's not. I know previous applicants didn't find out till afternoon.

So do they send everyone an email on the same day or do others find out later since there are a few hundred emails to send out?

Also how did you do on hesi? Cause people get in with B's Esspecially if their hesi score is alright

Judging from past semesters threads I think we are all notified on the same day- they just go down the list and email everyone. I shouldn't have but i just spent the last hour looking at past threads to see when they were notified and now i feel less confident about my grades. Katherine told me that i have a good shot based on what she was seeing this applicant pool and that she has seen people get in with "a couple of Bs and a 85 HESI. I'm applying with a 3.5 (3.3 on the new scale) and a 88.5 HESI, from what I've seen its a toss... the last 2 years its been enough to make alternate or be denied. Maybe this semester is different. We have less applicants and from what others have posted the grades and test scores were not very high this term.

I applied with an A, B, C and a 90.5 hesi. Katherine said that my hesi was a good score but that's all she said so I'm not sure where I stand.

I think a lot of people this period missed some of the requirements as well, which is making the pool smaller than usual. The scores overall were lower too, so there's definitely hope! I've heard that those who are accepted are emailed, then the alternates, then those who didn't make it, but who knows if that's true or just a coincidence with what time people are checking their email. Fingers crossed we all find out this week, and the guessing will be over!
