Published

Hi! I am looking for fellow classmates that are in TCC's fall quarter RN class. Anyone else receive the good news?!

Numbers are posted. I didn't get in, but my friend did this time. :)

Hoping some of you were lucky enough to get in again. All the best! :)

Of course my low score didn't get redrawn, but glad you all got what you wanted. I'm just happy I didn't give up my spot in another school. :)

I talked to my mother in law who is an attorney and since they sent you a letter you might have some legal recourse. I just thought I would give you that information. I did not get in again either even with my 83. I think their should be some serious reprimands for this mistake.

Thanks for the info! I was going to talk to the dean of the school and tell the nursing board that gives them their credentials. But I thought about it and I don't want to go to a school that goes back on their word or pulls the rug out from under me. I want a school that has my back! Sorry you didn't get picked! I'm hoping someone is getting fired or something as equally as serious!

I don't want to give much detail but if you got accepted initially please keep an eye on your TCC email today. Especially if you recieved a letter

I hope they offer you guys something for Spring 15. I emailed the school about that idea I posted yesterday and that's when I got the feedback email this morning. Best to the both of you! :)

I'd be ok with the offer if were guaranteed full time.. Not this part time crap! I'm going to accept another schools offer l. Best of luck to you all wherever you go!

Didn't even know they redid the lottery till today. I thought the math was off and even talked to a math prof and he thought the same thing and this was the day after the lottery. I did a little math and it wasn't double checked but this is what I got the first time. So this hasn't been validated.... :p

This is for the first lottery

1st line score in 10's (80-89=80)

2nd line number drawn in lottery

3rd line total number of applicants with this score

4th line percent that got in

To me too many 60's got in I think. If it was weighted I would of thought a higher percentage of 70's and 80's would have gotten in more so than the 60's.

Personally I had a weighted score 83 (tied 16th) but got 190's first draw and near dead last this draw :(. I actually got worse. So much for weighted lottery for me.

Just talked to TCC and found out how the percentages worked.

Basically if you have a base of 50, you get a 20% chance to get into the nursing program and if you scored a 100 you had 40%.

So basically it roughly equates to these percentages

100 = 40%

90 = 36%

80 = 32%

70 = 28%

60 = 24%

50 = 20%

40 = 16%

30 = 12%

They say on the TCC Nursing program webpage that they will accept the students who have received the confirmation letter for the Fall quarter.

Yes. I went up to personally talk to Theresa she said we will receive acceptance letters today. Followed by an orientation manual. Orientation is next Thursday at 9am!!
