Tarrant County College Spring 2014

Published

I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.

Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)

Would any of y'all like to meet up a few days before orientation? That is if we get accepted.. But if we do I think it would be fun and less stressful if we all knew we had some new friends going into the program. Especially since everyone is going to be so nervous and excited for orientation anyways :) it could be our own mini orientation :) what do y'all think?

Yeah, that's fine... Or be at orientation early...

I would definitely be up for getting together early! I think it would make things a lot less stressful for sure :)

Stalking my email again!!!

My nerves are so bad!!

I am trying to not get to anxious today, rather I would like to be surprised by an email not expecting it vs stalking my email and get disappointed. I am working today so that makes it a little eaiser than Friday because I am occupied but trying to just keep calm today.

I wish they would've just given us a set day that we'd find out from the get go. That would've made this a lot less stressful.

Yeah, I'm gonna try not to think about it and stay busy...

I'm going to try as well! I work at a daycare with preschoolers so they will keep me busy. I usually don't work until 2pm but today I go in at noon so that'll help distract me a little. This is torture though! I feel frozen in a way. It's funny because we're all so nervous and excited and as soon as we find out we'll be going through a whole other level of nervousness and excitement with the orientation and beginning of class quickly approaching!

I stayed busy this weekend. We are moving in a few weeks so there was lots to do besides tormenting myself waiting.... To catch up I'm applying with a 4.0/95, my friend is 3.75/87. Student231 is a great resource. I've been following her for the last year. I have my CNA license and will try and get a job at Texas Alliance. I've done CNA work before in a nursing home and home care and am excited about working in a hospital setting. Well it's off to class! Please let us find out TODAY! Oh! And I would love to meet up with everyone! Especially the silent participants of this forum, one of whom is in my class today. :0)

I have limited access to my email, so I'm counting on you guys for any updates!

Obxluvr, does the person know who you are? If not, maybe introduce yourself. :)

I'm just anxious to know either way!
