Tarrant County College Spring 2016 Nursing Program

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

This topic was created for those who will be applying to Tarrant County College Spring 2016 Nursing Program. The dialog is open for those who have never applied and those who have applied multiple times. Let's discuss our frustrations, stats, best practices for study and the HESI, where you are at achieving your goal, and if you plan to apply anywhere else.

For me, I am currently finishing up with A&P II! My current science GPA is a 4.0 and I made an 84 on my HESI. I am actually retaking the HESI at the end of the month! My struggles were in reading comprehension and vocabulary. (I didn't do well on the "implied" questions!) Any pointers from those that have done well are greatly appreciated! I used the Elsevier study book that can be purchased from the schools bookstore. I really didn't fond this to be much help in the two topics listed above. I have to admit, I was a little taken back on the HESI. It has been over 15 years since I last took a standardized test and I guess I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was.

Can't wait to communicate with all of you! Best of luck to each of you as you go through the stressful yet amazing opportunity!

This thread has been moved to the Pre-nursing Student forum. We wish everyone the best of luck and hope everyone who wants admission receives good news.

Hi! I'm also applying for Spring 2016. :) I'm currently taking microbiology, waiting to take my HESI next week!

There's another thread that was started and we've been chatting some about application requirements, etc. https://allnurses.com/online-nursing-schools/tcc-spring-2016-990748.html
