Tarrant County College Fall 2017

Published

Okay, I cannot take it anymore. I am so ready to get into school but it seems so far away. Anybody else out there planning to apply for fall 2017? Anybody else feeling like time is dragging? What prerequisites do yall have done and what do you have left? I am currently in micro which is all I need to apply. :arghh:

Does anyone know the deadline for payment and registration for the bridge program course? Thanks in advance for your assistance. I emailed but have not gotten a response, so I'd figure I will ask here as well. Thanks.

Congratulations everyone! Also an accepted as an alternate, anyone know how many alternates were accepted last go round?

I don't know how many were last semester, but I do know that at least 10 people received alternate emails

Hope you didn't miss the deadline date to reply! Congrats to you though.

For the fast track? The class starts May 15. I'm not sure when they said we had to be signed up by. I can already access the class online thru blackboard since I registered this past weekend.

Thanks, I finally got a hold of them and i can do it by Friday.

For Alternates: Fast track

There were 20 selected and 10 alt. They sent acceptance letters via emails to select alternates. They said they could email you up until like first day of class, so be ready. Not sure how mny alt out of the 10 were accepted but i do knw thy were pulling from the list of 10 alt though. They wouldnt tell me where I was on the list either, as she said didn't want to discourage anyone. Not sure of the reg adn numbers selection. Good luck to all still waiting, there is still hope as others have stated. Thanks everyone that has posted and helped thru this process!!

Has any alternates been accepted? Just wondering how soon they will be notifying people

None have been accepted that I know of. I think they are still figuring out which accepted students actually accepted their spots or not.

I also am an alternate, and have not heard anything back as well except the "There have been no changes" email sent on the 16th of May. Keeping my faith in God's timing!

anyone know how financial aid works with the nursing program is it considered 12 credit hours a semester, or less? Just trying to see what my options are as far as having to work.

Hi. I had planned to apply for the fall semester but my math hesi was not high enough to apply and ended up applying to the lvn program and got accepted as an alternate. Did anyone else apply for the lvn program?

Specializes in Surgery.

Congrats as an LVN however a word of advice, don't settle for less and pay for a program you truly don't want. The requirements for LVNs in hospitals are changing and by 2020 if you're an LVN that fills an RN role you will be required to have RN or lose position. I would definitely get some tutoring and try your hesi a feel times this year Because you can do it. Unless LVN is truly what you want ensure you know what you're going into ...just some advice from a 1st yr nursing student
