Tarrant County College Fall 2017

Published

Okay, I cannot take it anymore. I am so ready to get into school but it seems so far away. Anybody else out there planning to apply for fall 2017? Anybody else feeling like time is dragging? What prerequisites do yall have done and what do you have left? I am currently in micro which is all I need to apply. :arghh:

Specializes in Surgery.

What I stated is what we were told to aim for if we wanted guaranteed admission. I had a 90 Hesi and a 3.66 GPA with a 950\1000 critical thinking.

Regardless of their reasoning of telling us 2 weeks late it still sucks. I am sure most of us will be making big life changes and sacrifices to be apart of the program so the sooner they tell us the better. I hope they will tell us on Friday and am wishing everyone the best of luck.

Reading through comments make me less hopeful.... I have 2Bs and 1 A and a HESI average of 85.5. The waiting is driving me crazy I'm sure im not the only one waiting to hear back so we can plan next semester accordingly.

Dont let anything supposedly 'make you' feel anyway at all. I never understood when people say that, that's a choice of a mindset. Nothing 'makes' you anything. You have complete control over how you feel and what your perception of any situation is. If you are confident, you draw positivism into your life. If negative or believe something makes you feel a certain way, then it has control over you. Dont let that happen. Learn to have a strong mind. Same as I told my fellow classmates when we were in this position applying, hopeful and waiting. Some got off the forum because they were nervous and feared they wouldnt make it, some stayed and we talked about plans after our admission.

Either way, for all of you who have put effort in and applied to the program: If you did your best, then what more can you do? If you knew you could have or can do better, then do it, and try again, dont give up if this is something you truly want. Never settle for less because it is easier to do. Nothing worth it in the end is easy on the trip to get there.

Have you looked at past threads as well? I have seen people with 3.3 GPA get in. I am trying to remember what their hesi scores were. Who knows they may accept more people this semester too.

I feel you pal2007... online it says they go off of the hesi score first, then the gpa. I'm hoping so..

Yeah I read through them, I believe their HESI scores were high 80's or low 90's... yes I'm hopeful that they did increase it and I get in!

Is it Friday yet?:wtf: On a positive note, I now have money to celebrate if I get in. Yay for paychecks!

How are your grades? I'm so nervous

I have a 4.0 and 93 on the Hesi. Don't worry too much ( I know easier said than done). If you don't get in you can take the Hesi over and it will give you a better chance. I mean you are only seeing the students that are commenting on allnurses there is still a chance.

Your grades are great! You got this, I'm sure it's safe to say you can celebrate
