Tarrant County College ADN Fall 2016

Published

Hi there! This topic is for students applying for TCCD Fall 2016 ADN program. I'm excited about getting the ball rolling!

It seems like that's the norm. We're all pretty hard on ourselves from what I can tell. My poor husband is just as anxious for me to get my letter so that I'll stop talking about it all the time, too. He's supportive, of course, but I know I talk his ear off. Don't be too hard on yourself. You did pretty well on the HESI, correct? I know we probably won't find out until towards the end of April, but come mid-April I will have no self control. I will check my email constantly.

Oh when April 16th comes I will be checking my email every hour!! Lol. I'm hoping by telling myself the end of April I won't do that cause I stressed myself out last time. My GPA is 3.33 and my hesi is a 95. Katherine said to shoot for a 95 and that would be competive since my GPA was a little lower. But I know last time people with a 3.33 GPA were selected as alternates. I did my score and it was a 90.8 and it seems 90 and above get in. But every year is different.

I feel like above a 90 is a good score for anybody. I know it's easy to overthink it, though. It's hard that you can't predict where you stand because we don't know all the scores in the applicant pool. I think once the 31st passes, it will be easier. I've been waiting for the app period to end because it goes on forever. Once that is over, it's all downhill from there. We only have to wait like three weeks and there's a possibility that it will be sooner than that. I know on the board last semester they told them it would be the 30th, but they got their emails sooner.

how do you do your score?

I have a GPA of 3.66 and hesi 80 do you think I have a chance? or my hesi is too low because I have seen everybody Hesi is above 90?

A = 100

B = 80

C = 60

Your GPA would be 93.3. Add your HESI score to it and divide by two.

93.3 + 80/2 = 86.6 would be your score.

Does anyone know how many applications they have received?

@2013baby what was your individual scores on each of the sections?

For normal admissions your hesi score may be too low but for fast track it could be different. I would email Katherine and ask her. She is very good about responding very quickly.

I have no idea. I wish there was a way to find out.

I'm sure Katherine will let us know if we email her Friday. The application cycle closes on Thursday. I think knowing the applicant count won't do us any good

Probably not since we don't know everybody's scores, but a lower applicant count may increase chances of getting in. I probably won't email her to ask. I'm sure they're busy enough dealing with all the applications anyway. I'm just so ready for April to be here.

I was just curious if anyone had asked when they turned their application in. I know last time people did. I won't email Katherine cause I know she has a lot right now with processes the applications.

Well, hopefully if we just wait patiently once the app period closes, they'll get them processed fairly quickly. I'll probably drive myself crazy, anyway. Haha.
