Tarrant County College ADN Fall 2016

Published

Hi there! This topic is for students applying for TCCD Fall 2016 ADN program. I'm excited about getting the ball rolling!

I had 3 A's and 92.5 HESI

Hi somewhere earlier on this forum I noticed some students talking about having a passport. If I have a Texas driver's license do I really need an updated passport?

You need a passport size photo. Not a passport. I took mines at walgreena for $10.

The passport photo is your students ID picture

what TCC schedule like.. how days of school and clinical ?somebody talked about foundations,,what does that mean?

We haven't gotten our schedules yet but foundations is where you learn your basic skills, laws, and protocol (from what other students have said)

Hello! I am currently an LVN wanting to apply to the fast track program. Going to speak with an advisor tomorrow about how everything works. My sciences are 8 years old. Still need micro. Everything else is done. I just ordered a book to study for Hesi. What else should I be doing? I know 3 exams must be taken after getting admitted into fast track. Any info on how that works? Thanks í ½í¸Š

For those who got accepted and those who didn't:

-Is acceptance based only on 3 science classes and hesi grade? I seen that they also want ENGL, PSYC (2), and an elective. Did it help anyone who had taken these courses?

-In my science courses i have an A B and C and my hesi is average of an 86. Is this what they base it off of? or would I get points for taking the other subprereqs?

Pretty confused. I live in Dallas County, and its too competitive for me to get in, and i need to get in asap. But Dallas is based off a point system, I'm assuming tarrant county isn't?

PLEASE HELP. Wondering what i should do to get excepted soon.

Acceptance is based only on the 3 sciences and hesi score. They want you to have your other requirements completed before the program starts cause it's easier on you but it's not required to be accepted.

I applied 3 times with A B C and my hesi scores were 85 86 92.5 and I was denied all three times. I just applied with A A C and a 95 hesi and was accepted. I know someone else had A B B and a 92 and was accepted as well.

TCC only looks at your science and hesi so if you can I would suggest you try and improve your C to a B or your B to an A and if you can make above a 93 on your hesi then you should not have a problem of being accepted. Good luck to you!!

I'm with you girl. Hope to see you at Orientation. It was a hard decision to go through regualr track but I'm glad I'm finally in :-)

Hi everyone!! I submitted my app with a 91 hesi, two B's and A. Just found y'all! I am SO anxious to find out if I get accepted or not!!

Hi guys!

I am in the process of studying for the HESI exam that I am scheduled to take Feb. 17th! I bought the HESI Assessment Guide from the book store and noticed it has A&P, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. For those who have already take the exam are these subjects tested on? On the TCC website it only states: reading, grammar, mathematics, and vocabulary. Just wondering if I should spend some time on those subjects or if its a waste.
