Hi there! This topic is for students applying for TCCD Fall 2016 ADN program. I'm excited about getting the ball rolling!
Unfortunately I can not retake any, I was hoping I could retake Micro, but I withdrew due to a family death that year that set me back. I was one of the first to turn my app in. I have heard that it helps and I have also heard everyone who applied for the Spring 2016 Program got in, even the waitlisted people.
Jfever and I applied and we didn't get and there was a few others that's didn't get in either. Based on past threads if you have 90 points or above you get in and normally 88/89 points are alternates.
A=100
B=80
C=60
add your sciences grades and divide by 3 then add your hesi and divide by 2.
So 80+60+60= 200/3 66.67 +98=168.67/2= 82.33 would be your score.
There isn't a formula that the nursing Depertment uses that they tell applicants. But going back on the past 3 years of the threads, using this calculation 90 and above got straight in.

Your hesi score is awesome!!! That will definitely help you! I applied last term with an A B C and a 90.5 hesi and I didn't get in :/ but I have heard that if your GPA is low then you need a really high hesi. You have that, so who knows!!!! Can you retake any of your classes? I would sign up for them just in case you don't get in. I did that and got my B to an A but I'm stuck with my C for awhile.
People have said that the application pool is smaller than normally but they said the same thing last time and it wasn't. I know that the fall application period they have more applications because of the fast track program. Hopefully it is smaller this time!!!
