I was wondering what their hourly wage was for new RN's. As well as night and weekend shift differential? Does anyone know how their tuition reimbursement works? How much are you given and what must you do to "pay" it back?

Do you get to choose where you want to work after college there? Even if you want to work NICU?

$17.60, basic, little extra on weekends and weekend nights. weekend nights give you the biggest differential. tuition reimbursement after a year at work. reason pay sucks is because of four nursing schools in the area. Two BSN and two ADN competing.

lots of turnover so getting is usually not a problem. NICU is a little harder but not if you make a good impression. BSN will help.

Do you know anything about capital regional medical center?

newer hospital, nice facility but all the action is at TMH in my opinion. pay is the same.

certain colored uniforms now required at community.

they both have websites, have you visited them?

Yes...many times. For some reason I was under the impression that Capital regional paid more.

They do, for the record.

Is anyone currently in Tallahassee?

does anyone have any info on the new grad program at capital regional medical center?

Specializes in Case Mgmt, Anesthesia, ICU, ER, Dialysis.

Yes, CRMC pays more. You will earn EVERY PENNY of it.

They are both bad.

The only reason anyone gets hired at these hospitals is

A. I have family in tallahassee and can't leave or

B. I am a new grad and can't get a job anywhere else.

Needless to say the environment is reflected by the staff. Hospital uses and abuses, knowing it will be able to hire some desparate GN to take your place in a week when you quit.

wow. i wish i had read your response before. i just got a job at tmh on the post op floor and so far i agree with everything that you have said....i am ready to quit already
