Has anyone applied or interested in this school?

I was wondering if anyone has applied for financial aid to TCC. I sent in my fafsa, but have not heard anything about it. Do they only look at it only after we have been accepted into the nursing program? Also I was wondering as nursing students is there any scholarships that TCC provides?

I just sent mine about a week ago, and they emailed me saying they recieved it. I then had to fill out a Grad Resolution form (because I already have a Bachelors Degree) and a TCC Financial aid application. Just today, they told me I was cleared and that I should be awarded sometime in the next couple of weeks. Of course we don't get any of the money until after the semester has started and attendance has been varified for the first 2 weeks. I would call the financial aid office, they are rather helpful.

Also, I called TCC Nursing Dept. today to ask if they knew when they would be announcing the 2011 Acceptees, but all they could tell me was that they haven't chosen anyone yet, and that they were still reviewing the applications :( So i guess we have another couple of weeks :(

Thanks Noel. I sent mine 3 weeks ago and yet have not received any e-mail. I was trying to be patient, but now I think something probably went wrong. Calling them now!!

Apparently they received my fafsa on sept 29, one day after I sent them. They just forgot to contact me :( But now its all taken care of :D Thanks again!!

GatorGirl-I am glad you got it figured out, I know how that feels!! I just got awarded today what I was elgible for this semester. It is always nice to know that you have financial aid cleared, so that you don't have to worry about it at the last minute! If we could only get those letters now...:rolleyes:

This is taking forever! I emailed them last week and they said it would be another several weeks but I still keep checking my email all day.

Uhg, I feel yea, I just called and apparently the director or something was out of town for a week, so they are behind. The lady told me to expect them sometime late next week, or sometime the week after :( Goodness another whole week waiting, not sure how my nerves are holding up!! I keep refreshing my email, and everytime I get one of those pesky emails about Student Communications and Involvement, I want to throw my computer--because I keep thinking it will be from the Nursing Department:no:

O goodness, at least the Holidays are around the corner!!!

My points only come to 141 so I was not checking much at first as I was not expecting a good reply but the longer it is taking I have been checking constantly. I wish we could just know one way or the other by now.
