Tallahassee Community College Fall 2021

Published

Hey, I was wondering if there was anyone else applying for the Fall 2021 Nursing program and how hopeful you feel about getting in? I am so nervous ?

Here’s exactly what the full acceptance letter says:

You are required to attend a mandatory program-specific information session (Orientation) on July 28th at 10 a.m. in the Auditorium here at the Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education, located at 1528 Surgeons Drive. It will last from 10 until 12 noon.
Only those with documented extenuating circumstances are excused from this orientation. Failure to attend the orientation automatically nullifies your acceptance. Program requirements, uniforms, clinical information and any questions you may have will be addressed during orientation. Please read your handbook (being sent separately ) and write down any questions or concerns you may have, and bring these with you to the orientation. You will sign and return the last two pages (Copying Course Work and Handbook Acknowledgement) of the handbook during orientation.
You will need to pay for your Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) student identification badge that you will receive after TMH has cleared you for your clinical experiences. This badge in addition to your TCC student identification badge is required and must be worn at all times when you are in that facility for clinical experiences. The cost of the badge is $5.00. You may pay by check or cash. Please pay for your badge at or before orientation, at the Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education on the third floor. You will need to provide the receipt of payment at orientation.
All program holds and registration issues will be resolved after you attend orientation. Do not attempt to resolve holds or register for the program coursework until you attend this orientation.

Do we need to change our primary academic plan if it isn't nursing?

I went last Wednesday to pay for my ID badge and it was like a ghost town in there. If you can go before orientation, it's probably a good idea to do so; I imagine it'll be a longer line at orientation.

This was very insightful, thank you!

Which ID did you purchase? TCC or TMH? Where did you go to purchase it? Thanks for sharing!

I paid the 5 for the TMH badge. I wasn't offered the opportunity to buy the tcc badge. I'm wondering if that's included(?) or maybe it's part of the uniform package we purchase at orientation. ?‍♀️

I went to the 3rd floor of Ghazvini and there's a desk. No one was at the desk, but a lady came out of a nearby office and looked up my name and processed the payment. It was pretty quick. Cash or check only.

I'm trying to be patient about this, but I can't understand why it would take so long to hear about this. If they've been keeping track of who finishes when, surely that's information they had on hand by the July 2nd deadline. I'm wondering if others have heard and I'm just not one of them.

I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) right after I submitted all my stuff on June 22nd and he said I was one of the first to have my stuff turned in and that I would automatically be assigned to morning classes. so I would assume if you had your stuff turned in shortly after that you would most likely be in the first 38
