Tallahassee Community College- Fall 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Anyone here planning to apply to Tallahassee Community College's RN program beginning Fall 2016? I have finished all pre-req's, but have not taken the HESI. Anybody that has taken the HESI, how was it?!

Hey everyone! I from Fort Myers and currently attend FGCU. I hope to get in for the Fall semester so I can move up to tally to be closer to my boyfriend. I took the HESI in April and got an 88 on it and I applied with having 133 points altogether, praying its enough points to get me in. I also have my AA and finished microbiology. Does anyone know how we're getting responses? Like through the mail, or over email or passport? I think I read somewhere that decisions should be out 4-6 weeks after the deadline and we're about to be on week 3... good luck to everyone!

I feel as though time is nearing and I have no idea what my degree audit or points look like nor if I should be checking my personal email or TCC Mail. Either way I just really want to do well and get in and pray the same for you ladies!

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to come across this forum. I've been going out of my mind the last couple of weeks since I applied. TCC was the only school i applied to since my husband and I just bought a home in Tallahassee so I'm really hoping this works out. I think I have a 3.7 gpa (if i did the math right) and a 94 on the Hesi. So again if I did the math right I think I have a total of 149.

Katielyn65- The way I understood it, we would be getting an email through our TCC email. It's driving me nuts that we didn't receive any form of confirmation email after applying. I think I actually applied twice by accident because of it.

Keenabeena88- I'm sort of in a similar situation as you. I also have my bachelors in psychology and none of my transfer credits were coming up on my degree audit. It was saying i didn't even have a math or english because both of the course I have on my transcript are higher than required for the program. I met with Neisa because I did not want to take all of those classes again and she said not to worry. She said that since they go through the transcripts by hand, she will pull out all classes needed. This whole process has been a little frustrating but I wish you luck and I hope that helps.

Good luck everyone! I'm hoping these next several weeks fly by.

Yeah I think we will be finding out through TCC email. I have been checking it everyday this week, even though I know its too early lol! I wish everyone the best of luck!

I had the transcript issue when I transferred to TCC last semester, they only put 7 credits from my last school on my transcripts, when I really had 45 credits. I had to go to the Registration office and speak to someone that actually went into the computer system to transfer all my credits over. I don't know why it was so complicated, and it was affecting my financial aid. But if they are manually going through everyone's transcripts then I hope there won't be any problems for anyone!

Good luck to you all!!!! I am sweating in my boots waiting to find out if I'm in. You all are in my prayers!!! Good luck ladies hope to see you in the Fall!!!!

Should be coming up soon... Anyone know when we should hear back?

Hey ladies!! Any one else ready to burst!?? When is the earliest? June 22nd? Also, does anyone know when were are told class schedule is it mandatory times? or do we have options? The nursing program I was in, in Tampa 2010-2012 there was zero options. Everything was decided for us. So now with two kids I need some idea for child care.. Also, do any of you know when clinicals start? Do we have weekly lab hours? etc. I am sure we will learn all this if accepted at an orientation just hoping to not have to wait that long! :)

Yesssss I check my email like a thousand times a day lol. You can view the class schedule but clinical and lab schedule isn't up yet. I'm anxious to know as well because I'm going to have to change my work schedule and my daughters daycare schedule.

Hey everyone. I started the program spring 2016. The waiting is the worst part! As far as your schedule goes they tell you when you have to be there. Class is 2 days a week and labs are one day. Clinicals start after about 4 weeks. You will either have them Thursday and Friday or Sat/Sun. Good luck to everyone!
