Tallahassee Community College Fall 2015

Published

Looking for my fellow applicants for the fall semester.

I haven't taken the HESI yet, but I have finished all of the pre-requisites and currently enrolled in the co-requisites for the program.

How was the HESI for those who have taken it; and did you do better or worse than expected?

I am currently studying with the HESI A2 app on my phone. It seems to be helping, that or I am memorizing the questions which would be awful.

Best of luck to you all! Looking forward to meeting everyone!

We should be finding out at the beginning of June I think!

It's usually about 6 weeks from the application deadline which would be June 22nd. I have seen in the past that they have released the information sooner.

I hope those averages are correct. I am so nervous about this. However I have 146.5 points. It just depends on how many qualified applicants they have this time around.

You are totally gonna get in, don't even worry!

Thanks all for a great place to come together and support each other. This is a crazy journey! It's nice to have good people along the way!! :nurse:

Just talked to admissions and they said we should be finding out 8 weeks after applications..? So does that mean end or middle of june??

I have a BA in English and I STILL did just okay on the reading part. It was worded very awkwardly! I'm awful at math and actually did better on that part. Maybe it's because I studied super hard for it? IDK. But I'm gathering from everyone that the HESI reading part is just wonky.

I have a score of 146. I'm hoping that's good enough to get in, but I'm also applying to Chipola just in case. I would be happy with either. Chipola's program is only 16 months long so that would be awesome. I'm located in Panama City but I've heard from all of my friends that GCSC's program is a mess so I'm looking elsewhere. Good luck to everyone here! :)

From what I have seen and heard in the past they almost NEVER take the entire 8 week period. Usually closer to 6 weeks. The end of June would be the absolute latest.

In my opinion the Reading Comp portion of the HESI is very wonky! 146 is a great score! My friend is applying to Chipola for the fall as well. She knows someone who went through that program and enjoyed it very much. Good luck to you either way! :)

I am curious as to how many people applied. Given that TCC ran out of HESI exams, makes me think a lot of people are trying to get into the program this semester.

Thanks for the acceptance scores. Those were helpful.

It has been just over a week now, and I am checking my email religiously, holding my breath when I see an email from TCC. Then of course instantly disappointed because it isn't the email I am looking for... :(

I know the feeling! I cannot wait to see what happens. I am trying not to get too excited about TCC-related emails until at least June 1st. "Try" is the opperative word in that sentence!
