Tallahassee Community College Fall 2015

Published

Looking for my fellow applicants for the fall semester.

I haven't taken the HESI yet, but I have finished all of the pre-requisites and currently enrolled in the co-requisites for the program.

How was the HESI for those who have taken it; and did you do better or worse than expected?

I am currently studying with the HESI A2 app on my phone. It seems to be helping, that or I am memorizing the questions which would be awful.

Best of luck to you all! Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hi! It's soooooo good to meet another applicant here!

I took HESI test today, but am not satisfied with the score I've got. :-(

Looks like I have 144 out of 160. (After reading previous posts by applicants in 2013, I think I need more than this)

For me, reading comprehension is the worst part comparing to math and grammar. Vocabulary part depends on what you get that day. HaHaHa.. but, a lot of words are from Hesi book.

Wish you the best on the test!!!!

I think you did great. My scores were not at all what I expected. I am on the waiting list to take the HESI A2 again. You are correct the reading comprehension was the worst... My overall was 130 :'( Oh man I was sooooo upset when I saw the scores.

Thanks for the cheer! I would really like to retake the exam, but guess I can't take it until 60 days pass.

Wish you luck with the test and hope we all could get in the program!!! ;-)

60 Days? TCC has a waiting list to retake it on May 11. Call the testing center and get added to the list.

I called to my name in the waiting list. Thanks!!!!!

Retook the HESI A2 this morning, my overall is a 145. Fingers crossed. Hope it's enough to get in this semester.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!

I didn't retake the test.

Due to the missing transcript evaluation (The evaluation company said they sent it to the school, but the school said it was not received), I am kind of stuck in the middle of nowhere. The company sent the electronic evaluation to help me, but the school hasn't responded yet.

Wish you the best!!!!!!

Does it feel like the reading comprehension portion of the HESI is awkwardly worded? I have excelled in reading comprehension from a young age- but this test took some extra study time to understand what is was they were actually asking.

YAY! More fall applicants! Grades are in HESI is done, and now, we wait.... This is going to be a long month!

I applied for the fall semester. The top two subjects I studied for on the HESI was the math and vocab. I got a 82 on vocab soo mad at myself , 90 in math, 94 in grammar, and 88 on reading . 88 overall. a total of 134 point is what I have for admission. I did do micro. lecture and lab and medical terminology.

Do we find out if we get in in a month or two?

According the admissions the average for acceptance last year fall was 146.53, this spring semester the average was 138.93! Good luck to all! I have a feeling I'm going to have to wait till spring to get accepted with my 139 :(
