Taking PAX-RN today at college of Dupage anyone else?

Published

Sorry for the late post. But is anyone else taking the Pax today? I'm starting to feel the crunch !

I have been meaning to ask you. For the CNA do you wear scrubs the first day or do you wait until after the first class? I was going to ask you something else but I forget.

I had the exact same question prior to beginning my CNA course. I was told to wear street clothes to the first class; our instructor would then cover the specifics of the uniform that was required for COD, which was white top, navy blue pants, and white shoes.

Our instructor also required our class to be in scrubs every day. Dressing like a CNA would hopefully get us into the right mindset. I only had one uniform and had to wash it twice a week.

Do you know what the nursing scrub outfits are or look like? For your ID where did you go?

I wore a faux crossover top that tied in the back and bootcut drawstring pants. The key is to look tasteful, have your top cover your bottom, hem the pants if you need to, and wear pristine white shoes.

For clinicals, hair had to be pulled back. Stud earrings (1 pair) were acceptable. No flashy make-up. What else....no fingernail polish. Nails must be clipped. No funky breath or perfume.

Your instructor will probably go over this with you on the first day of class. When are you taking the CNA class?

Can you go on im?

Sorry...I missed that post. What's up?

It's ok. I forgot already. But I just wanted to say happy new year and good luck in less than 2 months cross your fingers we can know about NS. And also thanks for all the info. And you can always IM me.

Happy New Year to you as well. I'll let you know what I find out when (and if) I receive a response to my e-mail.

Let's both cross our fingers and hope that we'll get to do the happy dance soon!:clown:

I remember now what I wanted to ask you. For the tuition of the CNA class is it just the 100 bucks or is it the $129 per credit hour?

The tuition cost is $129/credit hour, plus any associated fees. I also factored in the cost of the uniform, shoes, blood pressure cuff with stethoscope, book, physical, required tests, etc. and *my* final total was around $1300?

Ok thanks. For some reason I thought just the hundred bucks. I'm loosing it.

It's easy to "lose it" when we've been obsessing over this nursing application/admittance! I am hoping to receive a response very soon regarding the questions I sent to Deb 4 or 5 days ago. Campus activities will resume tomorrow.

When do you think you take the CNA class? I could give you the name of my instructor...she is tough, doesn't take crap from people, and a very good instructor.
