I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I currently reside in New York State where I completed my LPN Schooling at BOCES in Central Islip. I have not passed the NCLEX yet and was wondering if you can re-locate and take the NCLEX in that new state. I'm looking to move to Colorado and take the exam there if I could.
You would also need to ask your school to send your transcripts and other necessary documentation to the other state (which they can do; but they need to know you want them to).
Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.
The NCLEX is a national exam utilizing the same question back wherever you take it. You can apply for a license by examination in the state of your choice
You can take the exam in NY and have them send the results to CO. Or you can take the exam in NY, get your NY license, then when you're ready to move to Co, apply to CO to get a CO license by endorsement/reciprocity. Then you'll have two licenses.

Does anyone have an answer for this?
