Taking NCLEX-RN on a Friday

I'm writing this thread because when I took the NCLEX I couldn't find ANY answers to my concerns. So I was hoping this would help someone else!

I took my NCLEX on a Friday in San Marcos California. It was scheduled for 10:00AM. I got all 265 questions, and was out of there by 2:25PM. I was so so anxious and was waiting for my RN license # to pop up on the Breeze website within 48 hours just like everybody in my cohort had. I got home and did the pearson vue trick at around 5:00PM. FYI- to accurately use the Pearson Vue trick you have to enter ALL information including a credit card number and hit submit, which i did because i figured IF i failed, i was going to pay anyways, the sooner the better. Well i did, and i got the "Good Pop Up". I was relieved. but I wasn't going to bank on that in making a public announcement.

Wish I had known that, the 48 hour turnaround with results don't count if your done after a certain time on Friday. I read forums that people found out on sundays their results that posted but they took the test as early as 8am on friday. since i ended at close to 2:30, It wasn't going to start until the next business day which was monday.

Long behold my Name and RN license # showed up Tues @1:00AM. YAY!! I had passed. that was a grueling FOUR days of waiting, versus my classmates who took it on other days of week found out 2 days later as early as 2AM.

SO note to other students, TRY to take your test on any other day other than FRIDAY. ITS HORRIBLE. The wait it torture!! By monday I thought maybe I had failed and maybe just maybe the pearson vue trick didn't work after all.. Nope I was wrong. IT DID WORK, and the 48hrs just didn't start till the beginning of the week.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I took the NCLEX last Fri 8/4/17, ending around 2:30pm. I scheduled to take it last minute, so Fri was the only day available... Now I see why -____- Here I am 72 hours later with zero quick results and I have a hold on my results whenever I attempt the PVT. I called PV and they said that the quick results won't be available until Wednesday. This is TORTURE. I can't stand waiting.

Don't schedule to take the NCLEX on a Fri if you don't plan on finishing early in the AM!
