Taking NCLEX-PN in 3 weeks!! Advice needed

Published

Hi everyone!

I am taking the NCLEX in 3 weeks and so far I have gotten the Kaplan 2009 book(read the strategies but have not done the practice questions in the book), Kaplan Qbank, Saunders 4th edition w/ CD(have only done 300 questions out of 3300 that's a lot). My question is what would you guys recommend me to focus on more for these next 3 weeks. Should I do the Saunders 3300 questions, or 1000 Kaplan Qbank questions. Of course I will try to do both but needing suggestion on what would be MORE effective for the NCLEX. I am so nervous and anxious! Please any suggestions or advice is highly appreciated! Thank you all for your support!

Go with whichever one makes the most sense to you. Meaning the method of studying that gives you the best feedback for your learning style. You might want to check out The Random Facts Sticky at the top of this forum for a change of pace and some support. Great place to get some quick tips/facts. The ones you've been using are ok too though.

:tinkbll:GOOD LUCK!

Yes, I checked that out. I'm not sure if that will be effective but I will certainly give it a try. I have noticed that when I take the practice questions on Saunders, I do very well - 85%+. However, Kaplan's Qbank I average around 48-54%. Please can someone who had taken the NCLEX-PN give me any suggestions. Thank you! :p

Try Petersons.com. 3 tests, 180 questions each, 5 hours to complete each test, costs $25.00 and was helpful to me. I used Kaplans 2009 Strategies, Q bank and one of the Petersons tests. Make sure you have time to sit for the test (at least 2 hours). I would start one week ahead of your test on the Petersons. I found these helpful and passed the PN first try. Good Luck to you.
