I graduated from nursing school in May and am taking the NCLEX-RN for the first time on the 22nd....and I am SO scaredI have been doing Kaplan question trainers and scoring 60-70% on them. Is this good? I have also been using the Saunders book to review and answer more questions.
I just feel as if I am not preparing enough and I dont know why.
Is the best you can do just work on Kaplan questions, Qbank? I feel like I am leaving something out just answering question after question, but since you never know what NCLEX will throw at you..I am just unsure.
I am going to feel stupid if I dont pass
Ughhhh any reassuring words? I will have studied for over 10 days by the time I take it...hoping its enough!
You sound just like me. I also graduated in May and I am taking my NCLEX for the first time on the 23rd. I am also SO scared and nervous. I am already a nervous wreck and I know I will get worse. I have studied and studied until I feel like I can't study anymore but I have been doing more questions. I just don't want to fail. I also already have a job waiting on me when I am finished and I don't want to have to tell them I failed because I don't know if I will still have the job.
Good luck on your exam.
I also graduated in May and will be testing for the first time Sept. 20th!!! SO sosososo scared!... I have a job already as well that I work PRN, would hate to tell them i can't work anymore!... Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers! I have been doing so many questions everyday!... I know my family can't wait to get their wife and mother back! :)
I have also graduated in May and take the NCLEX on Sept. 24. I was an A student in school and studied nearly everyday. Ever since graduating I have barely studied. I started last week doing practice Q's and very little content review. I have been taking practice tests and average a score of 65. I too am very nervous. So you are def not alone! Good luck!

Good luck to you too!!!
Good luck to us all! I will be testing on Sept. 21st and I am also a soooo nervous. Just thinking about sitting for the exam makes me shake. I graduated in May also and all of my friends have already taken the NCLEX and passed and I don't want to be the one who doesn't pass.
My practice scores are also in the low 70s and high 60s... I have gotten a couple of 80s but for the most part the scores are not so good. I do read all of the rationales and a friend of mine who passed the nclex told me she also had low scores when doing practice questions and she passed on the first try.
We just have to keep a positive mind and not rush through the exam when the time comes.

Good to know we arent the only ones getting lost scores on the practice tests. I moved mine to October 4th due to having allergy tests done next week. Extra study time will help prepare me more too. I am the same way...I dont want to be the one who doesnt pass...ughhh! NERVOUS
