How many of you are going to school with your spouses? I was just wondering because my wife and I are both going back to school and try to achieve the same goal, become a nurse. It seems like it would be perfect, but I'm sure there can be some problems to.

Any input and advice would be appreciated.

If you live with her, why can't you go to school with her? Sure sometimes there is such a thing as too much togetherness. Be prepared for one of you doing better in one class than the other, that is good, one can coach the other. Also, when it's test time, big paper time, or project time, the cooking and housework is not just hers. It it to be shared. Otherwise, it sounds like a beneficial situation. Good luck.

I think it would be kind of fun...if you get along that is. :rotfl: I think if would be a great help when studying for exams and quizzing eachother. Also, you'll get different persepectives from eachother. I haven't done this so the only advice I can give is ...keep your eyes on the prize and good luck!

Well...... sounds cool to me. There's nothing like the kind of understanding you can get only from another nrsg student. I can't imagine a better way to set yourselves up for absolute success. You will be able to draw upon one anothers strengths and help ona another through weak times. You may even be able to save some $$ on books and gas, and who knows what else.

very cool.....

Specializes in NICU.

Hey, at least you'd get to see each other :). That's more than my husband and I are doing right now. Well, we wave and pass off the baby as I run out the door to classes or the library.

I think it'd be a great idea--you guys would have a ton of things to talk over at the dinner (take-out ;)) table.

It doesn't seem all that great as other ppl might think. I'm going through nursing school with my bf of 3 yrs and sometimes we do have "too much togetherness" and it does drive us insane, but then again he's always there for me and I'm always there for him! :p
