Taking A & P I again...any advice?

Published

ok, so i am registered to take a & p i again in the spring. i took it this fall and while i think i ended up with a b in lecture(the grades haven't posted yet), i totally bombed lab. :chair: so here i am trying again. i did a search before posting this, but couldn't quite find what i was looking for. my question/problem is this. how do you study and retain the info? it's like i can study and be understanding the material with no problem, but when it comes to testing i just go blank sometimes. does anyone else have this problem? how did you overcome it? any help/advice would be great! thanks in advance. :redbeathe

I'm retaking A&P I as well. I withdrew and now have a W on my transcript because I was going to fail (by nursing standards, not by college standards)...I probably would've ended up with a D, maybe a C-, and I didn't want that on my transcript. But next semester I should end up with a much better grade!

It's funny, but the school I took a class in this semester. People are ok. getting "Cs." People get in NS with Cs!!!.

Where's this place? Inquiring minds would like to know!

You can get a C at my CC as well. Crazy to me. And the grading scale is different than it is for the nursing program. So, there are people who will be accepted that barely pulled a C in A&P (70%) that will have to increase to a 78% to pull a C in the nursing program.

I just finished A&P I, the best way to prepare for the lab practical is to study the models that you will see in the practical. This website helped me when I studied at home. http://www.cerritosanatomy.com/ it has the same models that we used in lab. Look on the models that you will use in lab and use some google-fu to research the company. You might find a helpful website like the one I found. Good luck! You can do it.
