This has been the most challenging time of my life. I struggled through nursing school with test anxiety. I now am facing the biggest challenge of all and that is passing this test. I graduated with my BSN from NAU and am loosing my confidence. I have been doing Kaplan question trainers, and have taken 2 review classes. I got my letter from the board of nursing and they state that only 50% to 14% pass the fourth time and it goes down from there. I am feeling helpless and hopeless. I am not going to give up but I do not know where to go from here.

Don't ever give up! You can do this! I failed my NCLEX more than 3 times before I passed it. If I can do it you can too. Just have faith in yourself. You made it through school so you can pass this test!!!!

I understand you, im there i have failed it 3 times and im scared to take it again, with each test it seems the scores get worse. Wish i knew what they were looking for, so i could answer them correctly. Very frustrating, keep the faith, you and all like us will get there, just with alittle determination and push!!
IF anyone has some good tips, notes ect to help, it would be greatly appreciated.
This test is keeping us from providing the care and compassion that we have, for one day I too WILL be able to call myself a NURSE!

i failed my boards once, went all the way to 265. i took 2 weeks off. studied for 3-4 hard weeks. i did kaplan q bank 1-7. i memorized the pnuemonics for infection control from the AN (not endorsed by AN) study guide and the rest of the stuff that was on the 35 pages. I listened to kaplan lectures and those helped a lot, i have them saved on my computer, audio. i memorized hurst review. i did PDA by lacharity. I had saunders big yellow book and just memeorized the procedures. YOU CAN DO THIS! I DID IT AND SO CAN YOU ! and last abut not least, PRAY! i prayed when the test was getting so hard. mine cut off at 140

NEVER pay attention to those stupid predictors! I have horrible test anxiety also. The best advice I can give you for the nclex is to study only questions! No Kaplan or hurst review! Way too overwhelming! Questions questions questions! Secondly, when selecting an answer, choose the answer that is most detrimental for the patient! This helps when you have no idea what medication or disease they are asking about! I swear by this and I passed the first time and so did my friends
