Hey Guys,
I was just thinkingabout taking the teas test now instead of next month, only I know I won't pass the science. My thinking is, I have been getting tutored, adn I think I have the math pretty much down. However, I am having difficulty with the science part. Mos of what I need ot learn is stuff I have to memorize. I'm thinkin that if I take the teas now, I will learn what specifically I need to learn in science before I go back and retake that part. Just wondering what you all thought abotu it.

If you are allowed to take it more than once then that's a smart idea. You could see what the test is like for all sections. I would not count on getting the same test twice, but you will get the general idea.
I think (after talking to others) that some people are simply much less nervous the second time, can pace themselves and do better. You do need to be proficient in all areas of science to do really well, as they throw a little bit of everything in there.
I think it's smart to work on the math, too. I found it to be very time consuming -- lots of long problems to work out, but nothing too hard. I did almost run out of time only because I was getting nervous watching the clock. It is good to practice being super quick at manual calculations, since you can't use a calculator (at least we couldn't).
Best of luck; I am sure you'll do fine.

I would find out the rules of the schools you intend to apply to before doing this. Some only allow you to take it once per year, or once per semester or you might only be limited to taking it 2 times maximum for that school. Personally, I would not gamble on taking it if I did not feel completely ready.

I would check with the school you intend on applying to determine if there is a maxium amount of times you can sit for the TEAS Exam. The program I am trying to get in requires only 3 attempts. From what I remember there is General science questions, Human body (Anatomy), Chemical science, scientific reasoning. It is an assortment of questions that cover a lot of science. I certainly would not rush into taking the test if you are not ready. get a basic biology, Anatomy, and Chemistry book and study. I know it is about 30 question on this portion. Good luck..
I can take the test 2 times in two weeks, nd then I have to wait 4 months to try again. Thank for the advice so far!
