Hi,
I am planning on taking my science prerequisites at a local community college. They want me to select a major and I have chosen Premed/Biology since it had most of the courses I needed. Is it how it's done? You chose a major, transfer the classes you can from your BS and then take the courses. That would mean that if I pass everything I will have a A.S. Did you guys enroll as something else? I just want to make sure I'm doing this the right way.
Thanks!

I would make sure that you are entirely clear on what pre-reqs you need for your other college and which courses as the CC will fulfill those pre-reqs. If they want you to declare a major, go for it. It really doesn't make a difference. You shouldn't need to transfer credit from your previous degree, unless some of the courses you want to take have their own prereqs. For example, in order to take statistics at my CC, you have to either take a bunch of lower level math or otherwise prove that you meet those requirements. So, I had my college send my BA transcript to the CC so that I could skip taking a COMPASS test and skip those lower level courses that I would otherwise have had to take.
