when to take the dosage test

Published

I am starting my prereqs for the nursing program this fall. i will be taking Chem and Bio, as these are the classes needed to get on the waiting list for the ADN program. I also need to take the DCT before I can get on it. I was wondering, when would be the best time to take it?I was thinking of maybe enrolling in the review class in a few weeks and getting it out of the way before I begin my classes. Should i wait until I complete Chem to be better prepared for it? I just took the Accuplacer and tested into Intermediate Algebra, do you think I would have a hard time with the math required for the test?

nope that class is easy peasy lemon squeezy....you just have to find which method works for you and just make sure you always check your work and you should be fine.

I'd get a basic nursing-specific math book to prepare but with that you should be fine! Dosage calculations are mostly ratio problems... they're pretty simple if you've got some algebra under your belt :)

Good to know it won't be too hard, I was kind of afraid of it! I think I'll take the review class offered at the CC, it's only $35 plus the cost of a book.
