Take a break from NCLEX studying! :)

Hi! I just wanted to let you guys know how happy and relaxed I feel now because I took two entire days off from studying for NLCEX. Ever since I graduated May 21, I did 3000 practice questions so far on my computer, and I was getting totally burned out from reviewing. So I actually took this weekend off from studying and talked to friends I forgot about (hee-hee!), spent time with my husband and family, went to the movies, rented movies, worked out a lot, and even went to the Zoo today! :) Nothing like watching cute cuddly baby animals all afternoon to make you forget about NCLEX! :) Now I'm not so crabby so I feel refreshed for resuming studying tomorrow. So the moral of the story is: go to the zoo and have fun! :chuckle

A break is definitely a good thing! You'll go nuts if you don't take a day or two to yourself!! :uhoh3:

Christine,

Good advice to take a break. I also stopped reviewing at 1:00 the day before I took the NCLEX, had a blast with my boys that afternoon and later in the evening I went for a hour massage. Well worth the money for the relaxation it brought for me. Allowed me to settle in, breath, and focus.

Good luck, :)

My goodness! You are making me feel like a slacker. I graduated May 13th and have only answered a couple hundred questions. I did just get married though...it was kind of break. Although, now I have no excuse and I am still not studying.

I need to stop taking a break form NCLEX studying!

Good luck, you are obviously well prepared and you will do great!

Hey Happy ER RN,

You're not a "slacker". I simply have analysis paralysis and overachiever syndrome. We each have to find the path that works for us. Congratulations on your marriage - that's important to nuture too. Balance makes a difference.

Take care

:)

Good for you! I took this weekend off.
