Hi allnurses,

Is there anyone out there applying to Tacoma Community College for Fall/Winter 2016/2017? Or that has applied last year? What is considered a competitive score for the point system? What was the scores they let in last year? I know 100 pts is the highest score but how low are they accepting into the program? Also I would like to know if your currently in the RN nursing program if you find it a positive or negative experience? I heard they have a new building and new equipment. Do you think it is a good program? Any feedback is appreciated. I saw previous threads on Tacoma Community College but would like some more recent comments. Thank you.

Can someone tell me what the passing grade for the nursing program is for TCC? and what the medication calculation proficiency is? Is it 90% or 100%. Thank you.

You must be eager to start.

I'm sure any type of backpack and note-taking paper will be equally fine. And I'm unsure what the passing grades are for classes or dosage tests.

I am very eager! But I have calmed down some. I am reading a good book now about nurses and I am practicing Nclex RN Mastery questions (app). I also plan to practice dosage calculations and I am reviewing my A&P. I am working a little as a CNA right now and trying to get my time in at the gym. Just keeping myself busy. I initially accepted enrollment at Bates Technical LPN program (so I was geared to start this month)but then I got the good news I was selected to join TCC RN program. I feel so blessed and excited!!:)

Hey everyone! So glad I found a thread for this program. I was chosen as an alternate during the lottery with weighted score of 90, however, at the end of September I received my acceptance letter and I am set to start Winter 2017. Can't wait to meet those of you in my cohort

Does anybody know how 6th quarter will be? I have a family reunion Summer 2018. Do you know if it is a full load schedule? Or can I take a few days off?

Hi there. I'm Winter Quarter as well. Just want to make sure you're aware that 6th quarter does go through the Summer 2018. We graduate in August. My friend just went through this at TCC, started Winter 2015, graduated August 2016. Our preceptorship runs throught Summer 2018. I don't believe it has changed.
