Tacoma Community College Nursing Program

Hi... I was just accepted into the TCC Nursing Program. Does anyone out there have any advice or information to offer? I'd appreciate hearing about the program, instructors, clinicals, etc. Thanks! Oh, one more thing... if you are aware of any specific information that would be beneficial to review prior to starting, please let me know.

No e-mail for me yet :( Maybe I didn't get in :( I hope I get in to Winter though!....I can't believe you got the e-mail tonight... I wonder if they are sending out more tomorrow or if they are sending out the rest next week....now I'm even more nervous than before! LOL

my best friend got in for fall with 3.96 something. basically a- in english.

Sorry for being a pain, but can you see what time they actually sent the e-mail? I mean, did they send it earlier today and you just checked/received it at 10:30pm? How am I going to sleep?

wow what a pain! J/k. No I just checked it at 1030, they didnt send it at 1030. Looks like it was sent at six pmish. Ack. I thought I would be more "excited". I just feel like.. oh yeah, I'm in. All that hard work is paying off! It might have something to do with the funeral I have to go to in the morning. Kind of rain on my parade. I don't even want to share my joy because it would be so inapropriate..

I love this website.

Oh you should def feel excited! You did awesome..and I am sure you will feel better after the funeral tomorrow! I am proud of you...and you should be proud of yourself. Even if I don't get in for winter quarter...( which very well could happen) I am super happy and excited for you..you worked your butt off!! You did great!!

Congrats for getting in. What was the email heading. I still have not heard anything yet. I am not sure when I will hear anything. I am so scared.:no: I hope that I get in. :nurse:

I've come up with 3 scenarios:

1) They only had time to send out e-mails to the 4.0 students and I could still get into the fall quarter (this seems the least likely because I would think they are going to send out all 24 acceptance letters at the same time).

2) They only had time to send out e-mails to the fall students and I could still get into the winter quarter (I hope I got into fall, but I'll be happy to get into winter too).

3) They only had time to send out the 48 acceptance letters (fall and winter) and I'm just waiting for my rejection letter. :(

The worst part about it is that I'm afraid they are not sending out any e-mails today since the campus is closed on Fridays, so I might not find out anything until next week! :( I literally cried myself to sleep last night, trying not to wake up my husband, and I was only able to sleep a few hours after that. Then I woke up at the crack of dawn stressing out again. I wish they would hurry up and tell us all one way or the other because the anxiety is really starting to kill me (I'm sure I'm not the only one).

Obviously, with a 3.8, I knew my chances of getting into Fall were slim. But knowing "Stressed" didn't get in yet with a 3.91, is leaving me little hope for Winter as well. Alas...I'll just continue taking classes this next year for an eventual BSN bridge (Stats, languages, research...)--at Green River CC and try for Spring! Don't sweat it, "less than 4.0's", just have faith and keep plugging away...we'll get there:heartbeat

Yeah! I am signed up to take A&PII in fall, so I can bring that grade up! Thanks for the encouraging words! It is disheartening, but we will all make it and survive.
