Tacoma Community College Nursing Program

Hi... I was just accepted into the TCC Nursing Program. Does anyone out there have any advice or information to offer? I'd appreciate hearing about the program, instructors, clinicals, etc. Thanks! Oh, one more thing... if you are aware of any specific information that would be beneficial to review prior to starting, please let me know.

that is SO cool! I am so glad they will be able to take more students. It isn't fair that you can get NEARLY perfect grades and still not get in. Good luck to us all, we find out in a week or so right? YAY!!:yeah:

I want to find out right now!!! I feel like I have been WAITING FOREVER!!! I don't understand what takes soooooo long! They should know right now...right?!?!?!?!?! I just want to know...alright...now that I am done ranting and raving! LOL..can you tell I am just a little too excited. It will be a miracle if I get into the program...so I am not expecting to get in...but it doesn't mean I don't want to know. :eek: Waiting for the moment we find out! Does anyone know if we find out by letter...or email?? Just wondered!

I feel exactly the same way...with a 3.8 GPA on measured courses, I have a very slim chance of getting in for Fall (a better chance for the new Winter quarter), but I still would like to know one way or the other. I was told in the information meeting in June, that we would find out--first by email, anytime during the first week in August...so, we should be looking for that email sometime next week!:up:

so, do you think they will send out rejection emails at the same time...or are those going to be snail mail. Also, has anyone heard when we will find out about winter quarter...will we find out at the same time? Just wondered...

Is anyone else as anxious as I am...checking my email every second of the day??? I can't even relax at this point....I don't even care if I don't get in...I just want to know. Can anyone tell I can stand surprises..especially if I know about them. I get too ancy! Just wondering if I was the only one going crazy!!

Ginny, you are not crazy! I'm pretty excited too. I just don't know when to expect the email. I guess this thread began last aug 8th with someone saying they "just found out" so we may have to wait till friday. I bet we will find out this week though. I can't wait! :yeah:

I was really hoping we would find out today. I was pretty calm over the weekend because I knew we wouldn't find out before today. But now that the time is here, I can't help but be anxious waiting for the results. Send the e-mails already! LOL

Hello anxious fellow nursing student wannabees! ;0)

I called the school yesterday and talked with the secretary of the department. She said that they hadn't even finished the processing yet (but wouldn't go into any more detail than that?!) Anyway, She went on to say that we should know by the end of this week by email (or) by mail. I also got it confirmed that if you don't get accepted to Fall quarter, the next top twenty-four will definately roll over to winter quarter. One of the things I forgot to ask, but am very curious about, is how many applicants there were? Knowing the odds would be nice!

This is going to be the longest week of my life!!!!! atleast until I have to wait for NCLEX results in a few years (hopefully)!

I also applied to TCC for the Fall Quarter. I am so nervous to find out if I got in. I have five A's out of 6 classes. I am so scared to check my email.:confused:

Well, u shouldn't have anything to worry about...I am sure you will be fine. And at this point...you should NOT be scared to check ur email cause they have not sent anything out yet I am just waiting!!! I am a little nervous..and I am praying that I will get in for Winter quarter...cause I am positive that I will not get in for fall!!!:sofahiderthis is me checking my email!!!
