Tacoma Community College Nursing applicants 2018/2019

I was just curious if anyone knows how long after the deadline for disputing your weighted score for TCC's nursing program, the lottery is actually held? And do they post the results or just email you? I did email them, but was wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!!!

My weighted was also 80. Still no email.

I was told I didn't get in for fall, but I am a number 6 alternate. Is there separate wait lists for fall and winter?

That's a good question, I'm not sure if there is separate waitlist, but now I'm nervous I still haven't heard anything.

I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

When I talked to admissions, she said she would be sending out fall acceptance letters today and winter's later in the week. If you get in, it will probably be for winter start. Will anyone be commuting from Olympia?

I thought the lottery was for both fall and winter. Mine said I didn't get in for fall as well. I just assumed that was for both quarters, but now I am not sure. I know that an alternative 10 last year got in so my fingers are still crossed. For now I accepted the RT offer due to not getting into nursing. I am commuting from Orting.

Yeah so the way I was told how they do the lottery at my last advising appointment is that the 1st acceptance goes to fall quarter 2nd to winter 3rd to fall and so on and so on. What I'm not sure about is if the alternates are pooled together or separated out in the same sort of pattern. There is still hope for us here where as at SPS I was 49 on the waitlist.

So did they already let everyone know who didn't get accepted?

I wish they would let people know how this process goes.

I know, I feel bad calling them since I'm sure they are busy, but the emails don't give very much information. I briefly talked to Teresa today, she had obviously been bonbarded by calls all day. But she said her first priority is to let fall students know if they got in so they can plan for orientation, accept or decline the offer etc. since school starts in like 3 weeks. She said winter people should find out later in the week.

That makes sense. It's crazy how close they notify people for fall start, seems very stressful for all parties.

Maybe fall and winter have separate waitlists then, also.

Ckrak92 You're probably a winter acceptance or alternate. You should know by the end of the week.
